04

Paint Protection

A durable coating laid over fully decontaminated paint. Winter washes get easier, salt and bug residue release instead of etching in, and the finish holds its gloss longer through the season.

Decontamination + coatingfrom $450
Stage 1 correction + coatingfrom $750

Correction first wherever the paint needs it — a coating locks in whatever is underneath it. Topped up when the surface stops beading, usually about once a year.

Method

The parts most people skip.

Every detailing list looks much the same on paper. These are the steps that decide whether the result lasts a week or a season.

Mats come out of the car

Cleaned in place, the dirt only moves into the carpet underneath. Mats are pulled and extracted on their own, and the carpet below them gets its own pass.

Salt is neutralised, not just shampooed

Road salt soaks into the carpet backing and recrystallises as it dries, which is why the white marks come back a week later. It needs a neutraliser, real extraction, and a heated space to dry in properly.

Paint is read before it is polished

Hardness and remaining clear coat are checked first, panel by panel. Polishing blind removes clear coat that does not grow back.

Rails, jambs and edges

Seat rails, under the seats, door jambs, sills, and the gap behind the console. None of it shows in a photo. All of it shows when you open the door.

One car a day

Nothing is rushed to clear the bay for the next booking, and nothing is handed back half-dry because closing time arrived.

Every job is photographed

Before and after, section by section. You see exactly what changed, and so do I — it is also how the work gets checked.

Paint correction

The lights are the test.

Hex lighting throws a hard-edged grid across the panel. On swirled paint those edges break up and smear. On corrected paint they stay sharp and straight, right across the body line — which is exactly what you are looking at here.

How a booking runs

You know the price before the car arrives.

Step 1

Send photos

Use the quote form below or message directly. Interior, footwells and anything you are specifically worried about.

Step 2

Quote and date

A fixed quote comes back with the condition tier it falls into. A $50 deposit holds the day; the studio address is sent on confirmation.

Step 3

Inspection, then work

The car is walked and photographed before anything starts. If the condition is worse than the photos showed, you get a revised price first — never a bill at the end.

Step 4

Handover

Before and after photos sent with the car, plus what the finish will and will not do and how to keep it that way.

Questions

Before you book.

Where is the studio?
A private, appointment-only studio in northwest Calgary. The exact address is sent once a booking is confirmed, so there is no walk-in traffic and no car left waiting outside.
Why does the price depend on condition?
Because the hours do. A maintained cabin takes three to four hours; the same car with ground-in salt, pet hair or spilled drinks can take nine. Quoting one flat price for both means either overcharging the first or rushing the second. Photos up front let the quote match the work.
How long will my car be there?
Most bookings are a full day — one vehicle at a time, with no other car waiting on the same bay. Paint correction and coatings run one to two days depending on stage and vehicle size.
Do you come to me?
Not currently. The work is done indoors under controlled lighting and with proper extraction equipment, which is a large part of why the results hold up. Mobile service may be added later for paint protection film.
Deposit and cancellation
A $50 deposit confirms the date. Cancel 48 hours or more ahead and it is fully refunded; inside 24 to 48 hours it moves to your next booking within 90 days. Weather or road closures in winter are a free reschedule either way.
What if the car is worse than the photos?
You get a revised quote before work starts, and you can accept it, reduce the scope, or cancel with the deposit returned in full. Nothing is added to the bill after the fact.
How do I pay?
Interac e-Transfer or cash on completion. The price agreed before your booking is the price you pay, with nothing added at the end.
